Avogadro Dr. Samba is an ensemble of ten percussionists under the age of 30, founded in La Spezia, Italy, in 2022 and directed by Davide Sinigaglia.

Emerging from the long-standing experience of the batucada group Batebalengo, whose members have performed at numerous national and international events including the Coburg Festival in Germany and Carrabassamba in Mallorca, the project blends the powerful rhythms of Brazilian samba with influences from English post-punk, electronic music, and progressive rock.

More than just a band, Avogadro Dr. Samba is an experimental collective and creative laboratory where polymorphic rhythmic structures meet synthetic textures and unconventional sound design. Their original compositions range from the driving energy of Latin grooves to bold, hybrid, and highly experimental soundscapes.

Their strong performative identity is expressed through a striking steampunk-inspired aesthetic. The raw metal of the instruments becomes an integral part of the stage design, enhanced by choreographed movement and an intense interaction between bodies, sound, and rhythmic intuition. The result is a captivating ritualistic dialogue between the creators and their creations.
